Regarding: Adabiya Port New Regulation for Export Cargo

Kindly note that SCZONE have issued its new regulation that 60% of the total shipment of the export cargo must be stored inside Adabiya Port before Vessel’s Berthing.

Good day,,

In regard to The Admiral / Vice Chairman of General Authority of Suez Canal Economic Zone decision to increase the volume of export cargo (loading). As loading rates are affected by transportation movements / factories productivity leadings most of the times to pre-long stay for vessels Alongside the berths.

Decided as follows:

1 - Not allowing loading vessels to berth in the port unless (60%) of the shipment volume is licensed to be stored inside the yards (port yard / rented yard).

2 - Strategic Food Commodities & IMO cargo are excluded from the above mentioned decision.

3 - The Shipping Agency to inform The Port with the yards / warehouses that the 60% of the shipment volume is stored at.

4 - The Port have the right to decide to un-berth the vessel (loading / discharging) in case of any delay in (low loading / discharging rates – non start of loading operation – port need to the berth) on vessel’s account. re-applying formalities for berthing is granted after solving delay causes.

5 - This decision is in order and starts as from 01/01/2018.
