Good day,

With reference to the regulation of maritime safety and security standards, which will come into effect as from 06/10/2026

Please be advised of the following:

  1. Requirements for obtaining a transit permit for Vessels built 25 years or more must undergo a full inspection and Sea trial, with the applicable fees paid in advance, prior to transit.
  2. Vessels subject to the above requirement shall be exempted from repeating the aforementioned inspections and Sea trial if they transit again within six months from the date of the last inspection, provided that no failures or technical observations were recorded during that period.

Please take the necessary action to circulate these instructions to the relevant shipping agencies and shipping companies.
