Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the logistics center of Kadmar International in Ain Sokhna, accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation; Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity; Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone; Major General Tarek El-Shazly, Governor of Suez; along with senior officials from the Economic Zone and Customs Authority.

Engineer Medhat El Kady, Vice Chairman of Kadmar Shipping Group, stated that the second phase of the logistics center was inaugurated today, covering an area of 110,000 square meters with total investments of USD 35 million. The project includes container yards spanning 75,000 square meters and warehouse areas covering 25,000 square meters.

He added that the Prime Minister had previously inaugurated the first phase of the project in 2023.

El Kady noted that the operational capacity of the logistics center in 2025 reached 120,000 TEUs, 360,000 tons of general cargo, in addition to 50,000 tons of various goods.

He explained that the project primarily aims to reduce customs clearance time, lower logistics costs, and enhance supply chain efficiency, highlighting that solar energy is used to generate 50% of the project’s operational electricity needs.

He emphasized that this project represents a cornerstone of Kadmar Shipping Group’s strategy and reflects the real progress Egypt is witnessing in investment, infrastructure, and sustainable development within the framework of Egypt Vision 2030, strengthening its position as a regional hub.

He further stated that the project marks a pivotal milestone in the group’s journey, as it is not merely a new investment but an integrated platform designed to maximize operational efficiency and expand the scope of services.

El Kady also pointed out that the group has played a key role in implementing national projects, including the transportation of power stations west of Cairo, alongside the Damietta Furniture City power station, the transport of High Dam transformers, the Egypt–Saudi Arabia electrical interconnection project, the high-speed rail and monorail projects, the promotion of yacht tourism, as well as other maritime, logistics, and tourism projects.

He affirmed that the group’s future vision stems from this project as a platform for regional expansion, deeper adoption of modern technology, digital transformation in supply chain management, and the implementation of advanced logistics solutions.

The group has also announced the handover of its new project in the Golden Triangle area in Safaga, covering an area of 65,000 square meters, with operations expected to commence in the first half of 2027.

In another development, El Kady announced the establishment of a joint venture with the Saudi side, “Globe,” to invest in terminals, seaports, and logistics zones.

He concluded by emphasizing that the attractive investment climate and strong infrastructure are what prompted the group to increase its investments and encouraged many investors to focus their investments in Egypt.
